San Quentin 2: Death Row summary
Return to the most notorious prison in the Nolimit City universe with San Quentin 2: Death Row. This gritty sequel throws players right back behind bars alongside familiar faces like Beefy Dick. The action unfolds across a starting 4-4-4-4-4 grid that offers 1024 base ways to win, though this setup can expand dramatically as the lockdown is lifted. You can face the inmates and play for free in a completely secure environment directly on our platform.
Base Game Mechanics and Features
Surviving the yard requires utilizing the Enhancer Cells located at the top and bottom of every reel. When these locked positions open, they reveal high paying character symbols, standard Wilds, or special modifiers like the Razor Split and xWays symbols. A Razor Split doubles all regular positions on its reel, while the xWays mechanic drops a five high stack of matching symbols to massively increase your connecting ways. You will also encounter the Split Wild, a variation of the xSplit engine that divides all regular symbols on its reel to boost potential payouts. Players can also activate the xBet options to increase their odds of accessing the main features.
Bonus Rounds and Free Spins
Securing three or more Bonus symbols initiates the Green Mile Spins. Before the rounds begin, you must decide whether to accept your allocated Jumping Wilds or gamble your spins for a chance to unlock more, up to a maximum of five. The number of Jumping Wilds dictates how many reels have active Enhancer Cells for the duration of the feature. These Jumping Wilds roam the grid on every spin, and if they land on a reel with an active Razor Split, their multiplier value doubles. If you are ready to test your survival strategies against a wider community, you can enter a free slot tournament to compete for actual rewards.
Volatility Rating and Potential
San Quentin 2: Death Row operates on an Insane volatility model, matching its intense thematic setting. The ultimate payout potential is staggering, capped at a maximum win of 200,000x your initial wager. Because this mathematical engine is incredibly unforgiving, familiarizing yourself with the complex Enhancer Cells and gamble mechanics is highly recommended. By utilizing Playin coins for your sessions, you can learn the exact rhythm of the game and experiment with the different feature buys without risking any of your own funds.

Game Features

On the top and bottom of each reel, there are locked Enhancer Cell positions. When triggered to open, they may reveal: 1 of the 5 top paying symbols, Wild, Razor Split or xWays® symbol. Razor Split symbol will split all symbols on the regular positions on that reel to double position. If the Razor Split lands on top and bottom Enhancer Cells on the same reel it will split them twice. If the Razor Split symbol splits the Bonus symbol on its reel then the Bonus symbol transforms into Wilds and splits its row respectively. All xWays® symbols will reveal the same regular paying symbols and 5 high stacked. When xWays® appears on both active Enhancer Cells on a reel, the entire reel will be covered by 10 single Wilds.

In the main game, Split Wild can land on any reel. The Split Wild will split all the regular symbols on the same reel, the Split Wild will not split itself.

The Bonus symbol can land on any reel. Landing 1 or 2 Bonus symbol in the main game will turn it to Wild and open the Enhancer Cells on its reel. Landing 3 or more Bonuses will trigger Green Mile Spins.

3, 4 or 5 Bonus symbols will trigger Green Mile Spins with 1, 2 or 3 starting Jumping Wilds. Before Green Mile Spins start, players will get the option to draw an additional Jumping Wild or collect the Jumping Wilds that are currently awarded. Maximum number of Jumping Wilds is 5. When triggering Green Mile Spins, the player can start with the currently awarded Jumping Wilds or risk losing 5 spins for the chance of an extra Jumping Wild, up to a maximum of 5 Jumping Wilds. The number of Jumping Wilds determines the number of reels with active Enhancer Cells: • 1 Jumping Wild: 3 reels with active Enhancer Cells. • 2 Jumping Wild: 4 reels with active Enhancer Cells. • 3, 4 or 5 Jumping Wild: 5 reels with active Enhancer Cells. The 4th and 5th awarded Jumping Wild will start with a x2 multiplier on it. When reaching 5 Jumping Wilds the player is then given the choice to risk loosing 5 spins or getting the Max Win. When Green Mile Spins start, the reels with active Enhancer Cells are randomly drawn and remain persistent throughout the entire feature. Landing Bonus symbols on the reel with closed Enhancer Cells will open the Enhancer Cells on its reel and transform the Bonus symbol into Jumping Wilds. Landing 2-5 Bonus symbols will award 3-6 extra spins respectively.

Jumping Wilds will jump to a random regular reel position for each spin. When a Jumping Wild lands on the reel with the Razor Split enhancer it will double its multiplier and keep it for the rest of the Green Mile Spins and also double all positions on the same row. Jumping Wilds on the rows affected by a Split Jumping Wild will also double its multiplier and keep it for the rest of the Green Mile Spins. Jumping Wild multiplier counts as the number of Wilds on that position.

The max payout of the game is 200,000 times the base bet. When the total win exceeds this amount the Green Mile Spins will end and 200,000 times the base bet is awarded.

1 guaranteed Scatter can be activated for 2 times the base bet. 2 Guaranteed scatters can be activated for 45 times the base bet.

Game xMechanics

xSplit® was first made available within xWays Hoarder xSplit, released in July 2021. On this first occasion, xSplit symbols go a long way towards assisting wins through the feature, as any xSplit symbols in view to the right of a Scatter symbol will turn the Scatter into a Super Scatter symbol – which within this release assists in progressing the feature through several levels. However, aside from the progression through bonus levels, xSplit as individual symbols increase win ways during base play. Any xSplit symbol in view will split all symbols to the left of it into two, increasing the ways to win. After this, the xSplit symbols will turn into wilds – for the potential of huge wins.

xWays® unlocks unprecedented win potential for players. Usually seen in a fixed Ways game, any xWays symbols that land reveals a stack of the same symbol, increasing the ways available to win, and when working alongside some of the other mechanics available in this series, such as xNudge or xSplit, can pave the way for some huge wins. xWays® first made an appearance in Pixies Vs Pirates, although many players will more likely recognise this mechanic from Punk Rocker, an early 2020 release. Alongside these two releases, xWays has made an appearance in a host of other NolimitCity games, including Dragon Tribe, East Coast vs West Coast, and San Quentin – the early 2021 release which rocked the community with news of a 150,000x maximum win availability.

At an extra cost per spin, the player gets an increased chance of getting into the Bonus Modes. The way this happens varies from game to game. The payout for each symbol is not affected.
